Hi, I'm Fury

...and I am so glad you stopped by.

SCROLL DOWN

Hi, I'm Fury

...and I am so glad you stopped by.

I believe in magic and life and love; in living a creative life and creating the life you want. I believe we're all connected somehow and I make images in celebration of those connections.

Photography started as my own kind of record keeping, photo documentation of a life well lived. Memories are fuzzy for me, kinda like the edges of objects at a distance if I'm not wearing my glasses. Lasting effects from a head injury I suffered as a teen.

I don't want to lose the magic moments, so I capture them in a frame; at 1/100th of a second, 1/200..or whatever, and turn them into art. They are record both of the moment passed and of my love for the moments; each and every one. I see life as art, and those of us that are willing to turn our heart's inside out in order to squeeze every last drop of love into living it, as artists.

A Little About Me...

I've got a fearless free spirit, a shameless love of techno gadgetry, and a junk gypsy kind of vibe. I was once lovingly described as a "punk-rock techno hippy".

I am "mom" to four wild and wonderful wee ones, who add so much love and light and a beautiful kind of chaos to my life.

I am an ever-evolving self-taught photographer. I fell in love with everything photo and light nearly a decade ago and haven't stopped learning, shooting, and growing since.

Before photography, I dedicated my energy to alternative health and healing study, became a reiki master, and worked as an acupuncture apprentice and massage therapist.

I love random pillow fights with my kids, bonfires by the river, thrift stores, and endless rounds of Skipbo.

A little about the experience...

Before your session

Before your session

Just as important as shooting, the work we do planning and styling beforehand allows for a more relaxed and enjoyable shoot day. Once you book your session, I will email you a link to my questionnaire, this helps me get to know a bit about you and your style and what you're hoping to get from your photo session.

Once I've received your completed questionnaire, we will schedule an in person consultation, and start what I call the creative conversation. With the help of my styling guide and Pinterest, we will work together to find the right location, wardrobe, and styling to create images you will treasure.  We will also discuss how you plan to display your images, and I'll help guide you through the process of deciding what custom art best fits you and your style. After we meet, we will fine tune the details, continuing our collaboration via email, phone, or text.

At your session

At your session

My assistant and I will arrive a little early to find the best light and set up any necessary equipment. Before we start shooting, I like to take a few moments to chat and review the session plan. This helps to break the ice a bit and gets everyone on the same page so we can all be present and enjoy our time together. It takes a little while to warm up, to settle into the relationship of photographer and subject... so don't worry if you're not feeling at ease in front of the camera right away. Relaxed and groovy is kind of my jam... no need to rush it, it always comes. After a few minutes the session starts to flow, and together we start creating the images you are going to fall in love with.

*Children take some time to warm up to the camera as well, please allow them space to ease into the shoot.

I'll get to work in my digital darkroom, selecting the best images from your shoot and editing them to my artistic style. Within two weeks of your session, I will email you a link to your password-protected online viewing and ordering gallery. Your gallery will be active for one  week, at which time your order is due.

Your products will be ready approximately 2-3 weeks after payment is received. Signature albums may take a bit longer, up to 4-6 weeks.
